Since its inception, Grandtravel has refined its itineraries in consultation with education specialists to enhance school social study programs and to give the separate generations new relationships. Some activities are selected to provide fun for both ages; others to satisfy peer interests. All itineraries give special attention to natural attractions, historical sites and places of current interest.
Grandtravel marked the 10th anniversary of its pioneering tours for grandchildren and grandparents in 1996.
Itineraries cover Washington, D.C., the U.S. southwest, canyons and national parks, Hawaii, Alaska, Ireland, Britain, Holland and Belgium by barge, Italy, Kenya and Australia. Departures are scheduled June through August.
