Holiday Inn Worldwide Features "Kidsuites"(TM)

In a significant step toward revolutionizing family travel, Holiday Inn Worldwide is unveiling all-new, family-friendly theme rooms, including Kidsuites(TM), offering special "kids-only" in-room amenities and separate beds for every child in the family.

Hotel room basics haven't really changed dramatically since the 1950s, when hotel chains began to standardize their rooms. A typical room, which features two standard double beds, often presents challenges to families by forcing parents to bunk with their kids, or siblings to bunk with each other in the same bed.

The new Kidsuite(TM) rooms are based on one principle: create a comfortable, home-like environment that gives kids their own space, their own entertainment and their own beds in a fun hotel theme room designed especially for them. Kidsuites(TM) feature a private playhouse/bedroom designed in kid-friendly themes, a separate room for the adults and a mini-kitchenette. The kids' playhouse sleeps three with a bunk bed and twin bed, and comes equipped with its own television, VCR, video game player, radio/cassette player, clock, fun phone and table and chairs.

Playhouse themes include old-west jailhouses, Noah's Ark, clown-filled circus tents and rooms themed with the various hotels' mascots. More room themes featuring licensed characters are being planned. The adult portion of the Kidsuite(TM) features a spacious area with a queen-size bed, table and chairs, a 25-inch television and VCR.
