Most people will be sitting in front of a television or stuck on the freeway while you are perched atop Palomar Mountain preparing for a thrilling, off-road, downhill bicycle rush. The 19-mile adventure begins on a single track trail at the Palomar Observatory, followed by a short pause for the cause, including refreshments. Just when you think it can't get any better, you find yourself surrounded by a magnificent view, nature's starting gate to the 5,000 foot descent, known as the Nate Harrison Grade. This world class dirt road will hone your bicycling talents and give you the thrill of a lifetime.

Although a professional guide will accompany you throughout the tour, an intermediate level ability is required. Cyclists will meet at G.A.S headquarters in Pauma Valley, then be transported to the Palomar Observatory. Reservations are required. BYOB: Bring your own Bike.
