Once you get to Prince Edward Island, you might want to do a little old-time touring on the trails. These communities offer some very pleasant shorter trail rides and are especially welcoming to young children. Prices are extremely reasonable. The beach rides sound very nice, and don't miss the overnight trip!

Open June 18 to September. Rates $8 per ride. 5 km from Cavendish. Beautiful rolling countryside. Quiet western horses. 4-km supervised trail. Young children may be led on pony on separate trail, free. Small farm animals for petting, free.

1 km west off Route 6 in South Rustico. Supervised 4-km trail through fields and woods with a magnificent view of Rustico Bay. Well-mannered western saddle-horses. Special attention given to children and new riders. Pony rides for children. Farm animals. Good family fun.

Beach rides along the Cardigan River; Sunset beach rides; overnight trail rides with 2-1/2 hours round-trip trail ride to campsite. Camping equipment and bedding supplied. Evening and morning meals included. Sunset beach ride and overnight trial ride by reservation only. All rides accompanied by experienced guides.
