The Wells Gray Ranch is located at the entrance to Wells Gray Park, British Columbia's third largest provincial park. This working ranch is running 300 head of cattle and 70 horses on 250 hectares of land. Comfortable log cabin rooms with private shower, kitchenettes and a campground are available for our guests' comfort. Hearty ranch-style meals are served at the ranch house. The "Old West" comes alive in our "Blackhorse Saloon". Activities in summer are riding, hiking, canoeing, mountain biking, whitewater rafting, fishing, boating, sightseeing and carriage rides. In winter we offer dog sledding, cross-country skiing, alpine nordic skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing and ice fishing.

Big Bar country is cowboy country. Ride the rangeland to the edge of the Fraser Canyon. Drop down to the river banks where gold seekers and homesteaders still reside. Turn another direction and gentle forest slopes lead to alpine meadows on the Marble Mountains. Our guest house offers a level of comfort unknown in earlier days. All rooms have private baths. Meals are served family-style in a licensed dining room. Overlooking Big Bar Creek and our lake are our rustic log cottages with kitchen, bath and wood fire offering a special privacy and warmth. Circle H is located in the Marble Mountains just west of Clinton. Approximately a mile high, it is known for lovely scenery and invigorating fresh air. The main lodge has five guest rooms, two bathrooms and a shower room. There are four log sleeping cabins. Delicious home-cooked meals are baked in a huge wood stove and served in the main dining room off the kitchen. Riding is usually four hours a day, all guided. Two day rides each week, with lunch provided on the trail, take you into the alpine up to 7,000 feet in elevation. Horses are trail-wise and will be suited to the ability of the rider. We can accommodate up to 18 riders. Other activities include a swimming pool, creek fishing and hiking or just sit back and relax.

Chilcotin Holidays conducts 1- to 7-day customized horseback adventures that include guest ranch stays, pack trips and guide training. Adventures are designed so that you progress through "levels" according to interests and abilities. Mountain Cayuse horses take care of novice or advanced riders. Stay in either alpine base camps within our guide territory, or our 4-season Guest Ranch, four hours north of Vancouver. Guest Ranch riders progress from valley to alpine riding, and acquire pack trip skills. The Pioneer pack trip is conducted from one alpine base camp, while the Explorer Trip covers more territory and includes three base camps.
