Delicious Dessert Recipes
This recipe was the favorite of a Humboldt County country family with little boys.
JILL'S COWBOY COOKIES
1 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
6 oz. chocolate chips
1 cup nuts
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1 tsp soda
2 cups oats
Mix it all up and drop on greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until done.
Makes about 5 dozen.
