This recipe comes from Ike and Helen Sisane, innkeepers of the Williams Sampler Bed & Breakfast in historic Williamsburg, Virginia. The Williamsburg Sampler was Lanier's Inn of the Year for 1995!
WILLIAMSBURG SAMPLER LAZY (no bake) CHOCOLATE COOKIES
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup cocoa
4 Tbsp butter (margarine substitute OK)
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla
3 cups uncooked quick oats
Combine sugar, water, cocoa, butter and salt in saucepan. Boil for about one minute. Add peanut butter, vanilla and oatmeal. Cool slightly. Drop by spoonfuls. Makes 6 dozen cookies. Bed and Breakfast Inns |
