Mom's Molasses Cookies
Delicious Dessert Recipes
MOM'S MOLASSES COOKIES
Ingredients:
3/4 cup margarine or butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup molasses
1 egg
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 cups flour, all purpose
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
granulated sugar
Method:
Melt shortening in pan. Let cool. Add sugar, molasses and egg. Beat well. Sift dry ingredients. Add to wet. Chill.
Roll dough into balls the size of walnuts. Roll in granulated sugar.
Bake at 375 degrees for 7 to 10 minutes.
Makes approximately 50 cookies.
