GOLF SCHOOLS
So you've got the golf bug and think a golf school might be just the answer to that erratic score. Fine, but you'll need a few tips on choosing the right one because there are many from which to choose-all with enticing brochures and videos and nearly all promising to teach you the fundamentals of golf including proper club selection, specialty shots, etiquette and rules. Which one's the best place depends on a number of factors.
How much will it cost? This depends on the package, time of year (a week in Phoenix in August will be less than February in Florida), type of accommodations, location, travel expenses, and any extras you might purchase, such as clubs, clothes, accessories, etc.
Are there schools just for women or for Seniors or Juniors? You bet. Be sure to ask when you request a brochure. One of the better ones offering women's clinics is an old one, the Craft-Zavichas Golf School, which actually offers schools for both sexes of all ages and skill levels. How do I know what teaching style is best for me? It varies - they'll be glad to tell you, and you can shop around for one that suits your style. Does instruction soak in when you Do something, or do you prefer classroom education? Ask about class size, practice time and playing time.
