The genteel Victorian air of the 1898 exterior is fulfilled inside by the antique furnishings and well appointed rooms. Afternoon wine and nibbles are a treat in the Parlor with its large bow window alcove, period furniture and double glass doors. The hospitality and care of the staff adds to the over-all effect. But, if you've come for privacy, try the romantic luxury suite or one of the cottages.
Outside, relax in the English country perennial garden patio overlooking the ocean. Sam, the great orange cat, may choose to join you in the sun. Miles of unspoiled beaches begin at your doorstep. And since you are staying in Block Island's historic district, the finest restaurants and island shopping are all literally within a stone's throw.
