Morrison's can assist with arrangements and transportation for your trip, be it a one-day trip or several days in the "wild section" of the river. Rogue River Raft Trips runs 2-, 3- and 4-day "wild section" trips on the Rogue (see separate articles).
FISH
Steelhead are a migratory Rainbow trout. These fish run from "half-pounders" (12 to 18 inches), to the 8 and 10 pound class. You can fish for them unguided, or with a guide from a boat. Normally flies and lures are used. A wet fly technique is used for fly fishing on this part of the Rogue. Occasionally, Coho (Silver Salmon) are taken when fishing for Steelhead. Fall Chinook Salmon run in September and early October. Morrison's strongly encourages "catch and release." At this writing, all "wild" Steelhead and Coho must be released. Call the lodge about fishing season, guides, transportation and equipment. Bed and Breakfast Inns |
