Once a privately owned mansion built in Colonial Revival style, the Channel Road Inn is situated in a choice location that affords wide-range views of the mountains and the sea.
All guestrooms are individually decorated. Beds have down comforters and pillows to give a homey feeling. Suites are spacious with fireplace, refrigerator, couch, pine tables, chairs and an armoire that houses the TV and VCR. Suites also have a fine view of the ocean.
Baths are done in attractive white or pastel tiles. They contain large sinks, a tub for two and windows.
Antique furniture and Chinese Oriental rugs decorate the lobby. The library is done in chintz and wicker furniture.
A whirlpool bath is available, as are bicycles for guests who wish to ride the beach bike path.
It is less than a 5-minute walk to beach and shops. The J. Paul Getty Museum and the Santa Monica Pier are close by.
