CHARLESTON MUSEUM KID TOURS AT THE CHARLESTON MUSEUM IN CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA Children are invited to The Charleston Museum for a chance to see collection items up close and make fun craft projects with Kid Tours. Kid Tours is a series designed to highlight artifacts from the Museumís collection that have captivated children for years. Children and a chaperone will learn fascinating facts about collection items from educators and curators and then participate in a craft project or activity. Kid Tours meet the first Wednesday of every month at 3:30 p.m. This event is free for Museum members and free with general admission. No reservations are required. |

The Charleston Museum, founded in 1773, is Americaís first museum. Holding the most extensive collection of South Carolina cultural and scientific collections in the nation, it also owns two National Historic Landmark houses, the Heyward-Washington House (1772) and the Joseph Manigault House (1803), as well as the Dill Sanctuary, a 580-acre wildlife preserve. Museum hours are Monday-Saturday 9 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday 1-5 p.m. Museum admission is $10.00 for adults and $4.OO for children.
