CARIBOU, MAINE HOSTS ANNUAL WINTER CARNIVAL IN FEBRUARY

The residents of Caribou, Maine invite everyone to take part in their week-long winter carnival and snow goddess run from February 12 through February 22. In addition to a Family Fun Day, the celebration includes snow sculpturing contests, a hole-in-one competition, a broomball tournament and several other events all designed to celebrate fun in the snow. A highlight of the week will be the Countywide Snow Goddess Snowmobile Poker Run, complete with prizes in several categories. In addition, there will be an arm-wrestling championship, a comedy night, a cribbage tournament, family skating, snowshoe races and the well-known and well-attended 'Ladies Night on the Town.' While some events have entry fees, many are free for both spectators and participants.
