Channel Islands Harbor celebrates the migration of the Pacific Gray Whale with the "9th Annual Celebration of the Whales". Whale watching excursions to the Channel Islands National Park are offered daily from Oxnard.

Whale watching hotel packages are available at the Casa Sirena Hotel and Marina, located in Channel Islands Harbor and the Embassy Suites Mandalay Beach Resort located directly on the beach. Casa Sirena offers a whale watching package that includes overnight accommodations and two adult whale watching tickets for $112.95 plus tax. Embassy Suites Mandalay Beach Resort provides a whale watching package, which includes two nights accommodations in a deluxe suite, hosted evening beverages, cooked-to-order breakfast, and two half-day non landing whale watching trips with Island Packers.
