Stowe Village merchants. For those looking for something a bit more
challenging, there is above-timberline hiking, mountain and road biking,
horseback riding, angling, canoeing and kayaking, soaring, and swimming
in glittering streams and lakes.
Vermont is world famous for its breathtaking fall foliage, and Stowe
will not disappoint. The Green Mountains are set ablaze with an explosion
of red, orange and gold a site that is truly breathtaking to behold.
Generally, visitors can be assured of premier viewing from the last
week of September through the first two weeks of October (with some
color both before and after). But be sure to make your reservations
early, as people from all over the world gather to experience nature
at its finest.
In winter, Mt. Mansfield, with its excellent terrain, attracts skiers
