After a two year hiatus while undergoing construction, the Santa Barbara Family Vacation Center will re-open summer 2003. Located on the ocean on the campus of the University of California Santa Barbara, this popular family camp is now taking reservations for summer 2003. This beach resort is located in one of the top rated vacation destinations in the world known as the American Riviera. The Family Vacation Center, running in July and August, offers a full week of activities and entertainment for all ages. The counselors, most of whom are UCSB students, are outstanding role models for children and are the heart of our program.
Each family suite contains two to four bedrooms, private bath and living room with a refrigerator. Housekeeping service is included, as are the three meals expertly prepared and served by professional staff. Also available are halls that hold up to 19 people for family reunions or groups of friends who would like to vacation together.

Programs include tennis, golf, swimming, childcare, age-group activities, fitness programs, crafts, sports, leisure, biking, reading, tours, wine tasting, zoo trips, beach trips, horseback riding, kayaking and surfing. Vacationers can find competitive challenge in the weekly tournaments or just relax at the beach or by the pool and enjoy the Santa Barbara sunshine
