AT DSCOUNTED RATE OF $71.00 PER PERSON PER DAY
Discover Norway is offering an Oslo Package of $71.00 per day, which will be available every day of the year. The $71.00 rate-per person per night, double occupancy-applies to five comfortable bed and breakfast hotels: the Munch, Astoria, Gyldenlove (Golden Lion), Spectrum and Terminus, all with private bath. The top prices of $103.00 and $105.00 per day covers two elegant deluxe properties, the Grand Hotel and Hotel Continental. Children under 16 may share a room with parents at no charge.
With the discounted hotel accommodations, the affordable and convenient Oslo Package combines Scandinavian buffet breakfast daily and the Oslo Card (Oslo Kortet), which provides unlimited free public transportation and free admission to museums and attractions. The card also covers a sightseeing cruise on Oslo Fjord, free parking at municipal car parks, use of swimming pools, and discounts on sightseeing and at shops and restaurants. One or two children under 16 sharing a room with parents receive free breakfast and their own Oslo Card. A limited number of rooms accommodate four persons. The Oslo card is valid for three days.
The selection of 32 hotels covers all tastes and budgets from the unpretentious to the luxurious. The traditional City Hotel and Frogner Hotel have a mix of rooms with shared baths at $53.00 and $61.00 per person respectively and rooms with private bath at $74.00. Other choices are the Stefan and Cecil at $79.00, the Ambassadeur and Karl Johan at $84.00, and the Clarion Royal Christiana and Bondeheimen at $88.00. Single rooms cost $40.00 to $65.00 daily. Most are in the city center and there is a minimum stay of two nights.
