RENAISSANCE ILIKAI WAIKIKI HOTEL OFFERS FAMILY FUN IN 2003

Laser-tag passes, a welcome basket full of family-style food goodies and amenities and a rental car are just a part of what the Renaissance Ilikai Waikiki Hotel in Honolulu, Hawaii has to offer families looking to have a little fun in the sun.
Three-night family packages start at $770.00 and include an in-room kitchen and a standard rental car. Upon arrival, families will receive a welcoming basket that includes four assorted soft drinks, six bananas, a dozen eggs, a loaf of bread, sandwich condiments, coffee and tea, dishwashing liquid and laundry detergent. Families will also receive four passes to Ultrazone, Hawaii's laser-tag headquarters.

The hotel's 260 in-room kitchens provide convenience and cost-savings for families. Each room is equipped with a full kitchen complete with a four-burner stove, microwave, refrigerator, sink, cookware, glasses, dishes, silverware and coffeemaker. Separate bedroom and sitting areas, including a large lanai, provide families with plenty of room to spread out and relax. Sofa sleepers make it easy to accommodate a family of four.

Fun for teens and their family, the high-tech Ultrazone is an inter-galactic battle arena for laser tag games. With rock formations, flashing lights, sirens and fog, this 4,000-square-foot outer space landscape is illuminated by black lights. Located on the lobby level, Ultrazone is the only interactive game of its kind in Waikiki. A video arcade, party room, refreshments and pizza are also available.

The hotel also features a torchlighting ceremony, a popular Hawaiian tradition, which takes place at sunset in the Ilikai's open-air courtyard. Free Hawaiian entertainment is also available poolside, every Thursday through Saturday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
