SOFITEL FIRENZE OFFERS SPECIAL RATES FOR FAMILIES
A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO VISIT THE KID'S MUSEUM

Sofitel Firenze (Florence) invites families to visit one of Italy's most enchanting cities and enjoy the magic of a museum devoted entirely to children. From now until December 31, 2001, Sofitel Firenze offers special rates for adults traveling with kids. For two adults and one child under twelve, the family rate for a superior room is approximately $230.00 US per night. Larger families can reserve a classic room for two or three children under twelve, along with a superior room for two adults at approximately $350.00 US per night. Both rates include breakfast and hotel taxes. Tickets to the Kid's Museum (Museo Dei Ragazzi) can be purchased at the Sofitel Firenza upon arrival.

The Kid's Museum, located in the Palazzo Vecchio, is a fun and educational attraction for families visiting Florence. Parents and children ages three and up can participate in five different weekend workshops.

  • The Magic of Lens - focuses on the Galilean telescope, allowing children to explore the skies.
  • Horror Vacui - demonstrates the experiments of Torricelli and other scientists who studied the behavior of air and gas.
  • Clothing - participants meet a likeness of the Grand Duke Cosimo I de'Medici, with his wife and children in an Italian Court setting.
  • Games - provides a variety of different children's recreation activities and encourages kids to invent games on their own.
  • Architecture - children participating in this workshop assemble and then disassemble the Palazzo Vecchio, or rebuild its arches and vaults.
