SUMMER ACTIVITIES RETRUN TO COPPER MOUNTAIN
The addition of several new activities and programs will make The New Village at Copper, in Copper Mountain, Colorado "come alive" during the coming months, offering plenty of opportunity to enjoy summer in the mountains.
The New Village at Copper is home to an assortment of daily programming this summer. On Mondays, Zany Games will include sumo wrestling, a human bungee run, scavenger hunts and more. Kids won't want to miss Creative Kids Club on Tuesdays and Saturdays where afternoons consist of Alpine Arts and Crafts, Discovery Days, Kids' Play Theater and Bon Apetit. Anyone can cut a rug and learn a new dance move on Wednesdays - whether swing, salsa, meringue or country - free dance lessons will be available. On Thursdays the whole family will want to sit with Sawtooth for stories of the Wild West during Fireside Storytelling. On Fridays guests can enjoy Music of the mountains, for a relaxed evening of music. And on weekends, a variety of street performers can be found wandering throughout the village with animal balloons, magic tricks, walking on stilts and more.
Free scenic chair lift rides are available on the American Eagle lift daily until September 3, weather permitting, and will carry guests up to 11,000 feet for spectacular views of the Ten Mile and Gore mountain ranges. Barbecues on the outdoor deck of Solitude Station, an interpretive site tour or a guided nature hike are options before heading back down. Copper Mountain Stables, located adjacent to The New Copper Village, will provide a number of horseback riding options from trail rides and hunting trips to breakfast and dinner rides and wilderness pack trips.
