SMUGGLERS' NOTCH RESORT
Smugglers' Notch, Vermont

AUTUMNFEST FOR FAMILIES BEGINS SEPTEMBER 4, 2001

Smugglers' Notch Resort's award-winning family programming will continue into the fall as AutumnFest for Families returns for a third year. Developed especially for families with preschool age children, AutumnFest showcases a full range of fun activities that children and adults will enjoy during Vermont's breathtaking fall foliage season.

From September 4 through October 14, guests will find the top quality programs they've come to expect from Smugglers' Notch, with comfortable lodging at the lowest rates of the year. The resort's youngest guests (6 weeks to 5 years old) can spend the morning at Alice's Wonderland Child Enrichment Center enjoying age-appropriate activities. The center is fully equipped with swings, strollers, small climbing structures, toys, and floor mats for the under two set. Older children will enjoy arts and crafts, story time, and playing on the adjacent playground. This morning care, including a snack and lunch, is part of the AutumnFest package.

To allow parents even more flexibility in choosing activities, this year they've added two afternoons of childcare. This gives parents more time to enjoy hiking or a day trip, and the peace of mind that their little ones are well taken care of for the day. During the afternoon, the Family Ties program offers a variety of activities specifically designed for adults and children to do jointly or for the young at heart who want to enjoy some fun. These programs are included in the AutumnFest package. Participants may choose to go on a guided nature hike, learn about farming and farm animals, or let their creative juices run wild in the hands-on art class. The fun continues into the evening with bingo, music, sing-a-longs and games.
