Aboard Winter Wildlife and Whale-Watching boat trips, curious passengers will search for fin and humpback whales that frequent our waters in the winter months. Onlookers can see these animals as they engage in a variety of behaviors, including feeding, flipper-slapping, lobtailing, and breaching. Educators from the museum accompany each trip to provide a biological history and behavior interpretation on these amazing marine mammals.
Beginning January 2, 2002, the museum's two-hour boat trips run Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through March 10, or until the whales migrate from the area. Ticket prices for the whale-watching trips are $15.00 for adults and $13.00 for children eleven and younger. Special charters can be arranged for groups. Whale sightings are not guaranteed.
